Current and past stress, trauma, lifestyle habits, and toxic emotions have all been shown to impact our physical, mental, and emotional health. While these dis-ease factors are getting more attention in traditional healthcare, they are still rarely recognized for the critical role they play in both disease and well-being.
The healing arts stem from an understanding that everything is connected and that the body can heal itself when we create a harmonious environment for the mind, body, and spirit. We each have an Inner Healer that if supported can aid in our well-being at all levels. There are many different healing arts that serve as tools to nurture a healing environment. Some healing arts focus on re-aligning body structures, others on removing energy blockages that effect vitality and emotions. Some deal with foods and their effects on the body, mind and emotions, others use therapeutic touch. But what they all have in common is an awareness of the necessity for reduction of stress, the promotion of mind, body, spirit balance and the vital role that deep relaxation plays in our health and well-being.
